Cut, Fold, Construct - Paper sculpture workshop - Saturday 29th June 2019

Explore the potential of paper cutting, folding and construction techniques to create your own unique sculptural forms with paper artists Andy Singleton and Richard Sweeney.

With demonstrations and one-to-one help from the artists, learn the basic techniques of paper manipulation, including pattern cutting, wet folding, pleating and modular form-making. An experimental approach to the material is encouraged, which will allow beginners and experienced folders alike to explore the creative potential of sculpted paper.

I recently created these images for Brussel Airlines inflight magazine. The editorial work was used to illustrate an interesting story about a girl using the the power of twitter to communicate a positive message about a continent so often presented in a negative way. 

Paper London - Playstation

I recently worked with Fever PR on a commission to create a paper London cityscape from discarded London Evening Standard newspapers. The piece was commissioned by Playstation to celebrate the launch of the PS4 game, Tearaway Unfolded. The piece was on show for one day on Southbank, London. See the making of video below:

Kickstarter Project Backed! - Nude Not Naked Exhibition goes to NY

We made it! Our Kickstarter project reached its funding goal and now we are preparing for the exhibition. The show opens on the 17th of April in Brooklyn, NY at Hawkeye Crates. This is a pop up show and runs until the 19th of April. So thats 3 beautiful nights! Hope you can make it.

Myself and fellow Wakefield atists, Richard Sweeney (paper sculpture) and Richard Wheater (performance and neon) have been given a chance to show a new body of work based around the human form. The piece will comprise of large scale installation works and a series of small works.

Ice Storm Installation - Wales Millenium Centre, Dec 1st - 18th Jan 2015

I was recently commissioned to create a large scale, multi-site installation at the Wales Millennium Centre, Cardiff, Wales. The show was part of the ten year celebrations for the centre and was also part of the Christmas and winter season programme.  The installation consisted of a frozen waterfall sculpture at 10 meters in length, a huge orb structe inspried by ice storms, a smaller orb and frozen ice pillars. Djanogly Gallery Installation: Ice Form - Nov 2014 - Feb 2014

Ice Form takes inspiration from the freezing process as it occurs in the natural world. This natural phenomenon can create magnificent forms and patterns such as icicles, ice caves and frozen waterfalls. This installation was produced through multiple layers of hand cut and folded paper, which builds up to form the 3D structure. A layering process which has a connection to the creation of the ice structures seen in nature, which are often formed from layers of melted and frozen water.

Ice Form was commissioned by The Djanogly Gallery, Nottingham.
